Spiritual Questions

Does God exist?
What about those who don't believe?
Is there One Way to God?
Is the Bible reliable?
Do Science and Faith conflict?
How do I find God?

At Bear Valley, there are small groups of people who gather to find answers to spiritual questions—questions you find yourself asking from time to time. These small groups are a great place to start to get answers to tough questions. And, at the same time, these groups are a safe place to connect and build friendships with other people just like you.

These informal discussion groups allow you to be yourself, raise any issues or questions you have about spiritual matters, express your thoughts and opinions without judgment, hear what other seekers are thinking and learn what the Bible has to say about life today.

Different groups meet at various times and locations, making it easy for you to find a group that fits your schedule. And you can even check out a group without feeling like you have to sign up for a long-term commitment. Go once and see what you think. If you're looking to move forward on your spiritual journey, a seeker small group is a great place to learn alongside other seekers...in a non-pressured environment.

If you want to know the truth about God—really know the truth—you are a seeker. That's a great thing to be, because according to Jesus, seekers find what they're looking for.

Seekers come in all shapes and sizes. They have a variety of backgrounds. Some don't believe in God; others do believe in God, but aren't sure how to connect with Him. What all seekers have in common is the fact that they've stopped pretending they have it all together. They're open to the possibility God may exist, and more importantly, that He may want a place in their lives. They know they don't know—but they want to know.

If you're a seeker, how do you go about this all-important task of pursuing God and His truth? Well, the following outline doesn't claim to be the final and authoritative word on the subject. But—with a humble recognition that the stakes are sky-high and believing you are very precious to God—here are four questions to help you in your search.

1. Why do you want to know God?
2. Are you placing limitations on God?
3. What do you think about Jesus?
4. How will you respond to Jesus?
