Written originally by founding pastor Sam Carmack in January 1992, The Dream remains the vision for Bear Valley Community Church today.
"Our vision for Bear Valley Community Church is to see thousands of people finding a safe haven in Christ.
"We see an untraditional church ready to reach this generation which older, traditional churches are not reaching. We see a church with a casual atmosphere where both young and old feel accepted, where people are important because of who they are. People are important to God.
"We dream of a church that is simple and honest with people, one which does everything in an excellent way emanating integrity.
"We see a church that exalts the Lord by exalting His Word, the Bible.
"We envision everyone finding personal attention as small groups meet throughout the area, led by trained lay leaders. We see people receiving personal attention and reaching out to those who are hurting and in need.
"We see an exciting church with contemporary music.
"We dream of a church whose teachers focus upon relevant needs, a church which uses contemporary means of communication (drama and multimedia).
"We see a church where people feel welcome. Where the unchurched feel welcome, a church where people from many different types of churches feel welcome since unity is based upon essentials and differences are appreciated.
"We also see many sent out around the world to nurture and plant churches with a similar vision."
